Kayla Santosuosso Won’t Hold Citibike/Lyft Accountable
For months, Bay Ridge residents have been complaining that there is no where to park their bikes when they go to return them to their port because then rack is FULL.
Citibike/Lyft is contractually obligated to to have spots available at all times. Many people have posted photos of racks where EVERY space is taken, so there is nowhere to park a bike.

Council Representative Santosuosso is not holding Citibike/Lyft accountable. It’s six months since Kayla has taken office and she keeps telling people she is working on things, but nothing is getting done.
Senator Andrew Gounardes is busy playing on social media every day and fails to help riders in Bay Ridge. They have made polite requests over and over, but the politicians here won’t help them.
The lobbyist for Lyft is former NYC Council Speaker Corey Johnson, so either politician could have picked up the phone or sent a text to get help, but neither bother because WE don’t have a lobbyist for Bay Ridge and these two politicians think it is okay to ignore the community for MONTHS.
