Election Predictions From An Outsider
I have been writing about politics for years. This is the first time I am doing election predictions – let’s see how close I get. *If we don’t pay attention, the bad pols will keep winning in our community.
1) Congress seat – District 10 – Brad Lander will win, but it won’t be as big of a win as the newspapers say. They are both aren’t good candidates. Dan Goldman’s money from AIRPAC is what is holding him down. *Mamdani did not comment on this election. Lander wins 55% – 45%
2) Congress seat – District 13 – Adriano Espaillat was also targeted for AIRPAC. But I think Espaillat pulls a win anyway. Mamdani is backing Darializa Avila Chevalier, but I think Espaillat will win his district again.
3) Congress seat – District 7 – Antonio Reynoso is going to lose to Mamdani-backed pol, Assemblywoman Claire Valdez. This is Nydia Velázquez seat, so I am surprised she isn’t pulling the voters to Reynoso.
4) Congress seat – District 12 in Manhattan is Jerry Nadler’s seat – Nadler is retiring. Micah Lasher will win over Alex Bores. *Bores and Gounardes passed a poor bill about AI , so I am hoping for a loss here. Gounardes didn’t tell us that Bores through a $250,000 fundraiser for Governor Hochul. Info:Info:https://www.nytimes.com/2025/12/04/nyregion/hochul-ai-bill-bores.html
5) Bay Ridge Democrat Primary – Chris McCreight vs. Joseph Santangelo.70% – 30%. Santangelo is an outside and McCreight is part of the machine. Alec Brook-Krasny can take McCreight out easily in the general election AGAIN if he shows the video of the Coney Island casino meetings. McCreight is in the back smiling, laughing and texting, while Brooklyn fought for Coney Island. (Big mistake Democrats!)
