Why Is TransAlt Allowed to Speak at Community Board 10 Meetings Without Revealing Who They Lobby?

Community Board 10 needs to have show transparency when lobbyists are speaking at CB 10 meetings.
On Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 7:00 pm, Community Board is is holding a Traffic and Transpiration Meeting at the District Office at 8119 – 5th Avenue and over Zoom.
A presentation will be given by a Transportation Alternatives staff member named Rose U. Rose is a Staten Island resident. She gave a walking tour in Bay Ridge in November 2024 and showed she doesn’t know enough or care enough about Bay Ridge to speak into our community.
During this walk, Rose mentioned that a Bay Ridge resident was killed on 4th Avenue and Senator Street, but she didn’t even know the woman’s name.

In June 2024, Aihong Qu was killed on 7th Avenue in Bay Ridge. This was the second woman’s death that Senator Andrew Gounardes and Trans Alt ignored. Candlelight ceremonies in the street stopped and no one even mentioned the 48-year-old woman’s name.
Community Board 10 has not told the community that there have been an increase in crashes and injuries in our neighborhood – we all know it thought!

More cyclists and motorists have been injured. And this year there is a category of UNKNOWN with 31 people! No one knows if those people were pedestrians, cyclists or motorist?

You can see the statistics here (adjust the date on the far right):
Speed cameras aren’t helping our community have less crashes or people hurt as Senator Andrew Gounardes has claimed:

Andrew Gounardes failed to tell you that both he and former Councilman Justin Brannan were lobbied over the cameras.
And more people have been injured in Bay Ridge since Trans Alt representative, Rose U. spoke into our community in 2023.
See the prior years here:
When two students from Xaverian High School were hurt, there was no Transalt here, Children and their families made a petition for changes to the streets.
Students and their families in Bay Ridge pushed for the street change – not Transportation Alternatives or Rose U.
Last week, when Community Board 10 announced a truck route for 3rd Avenue, there was no Rose U. from Staten Island. You know why? Because she doesn’t care about our community because she does not live here.
Register to speak at Community Board 10’s Meeting here – you can also just go to the District Office on 5th Avenue. https://bit.ly/TT3526
