The 18th Avenue Feast in Brooklyn Starts on Thursday, August 14, 2025

The 18th Avenue Italian feast will be held from Thursday, August 14th to Sunday, August 24th from 68th Street to 75th Street.

Also known as the Festa di Santa Rosalia, this year is the 51st Anniversary of the Feast of St. Rosalie in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.

The best nights will be the first night and Friday, August 15th because the Venuto Family will be there. Maria Venuto will be performing with Vinnie Medugno and her cousin, Peter Venuto is the DJ.

MGM will be performing on August 21st

On Friday, August 22nd, there is a cannoli eating contest at 7:00 pm outside of Villabate Bakery at 7001 – 18th Avenue (corner of 70th Street).

The Feast opens at 6:00 pm and closes at 11:00 pm. On the weekend, it opens at 2:00 pm.
SAUSAGES AND ZEPPOLES

Lucy’s sausages and zeppoles will be there. They also sold grilled octopus that people loved. Last year there were two Lucy’s sausage trucks. Make sure you are visiting the original Queen of Sausage Slinging. Her logo looks like this.

Each year when the 18th Avenue Feast comes around, I hear some people saying, “This festival is so different than it was years ago.” It’s supposed to be! The world has changed, the neighborhood has changed and most importantly, you changed. Going to a festival at 20 is different than going to a festival at 45, (so are most things).
It’s still a great festival for people who like strolling on 18th Avenue, enjoy experiencing different cultures, listening to good music, meeting up with old friends and eating Lucy’s sausage sandwiches. For teens, it’s still a magical Summer night.
Everything is more costly – everywhere – complaining won’t change that.
Hugs,
marlene
