Justin Brannan and the Lobbyists for the Casino in Coney Island (Three Articles!)

In 2024, Justin Brannan asked the people in Coney Island for their vote.
In 2025, Coney Island residents spent the last six months attending meetings to stop a casino in their community. If they had a better representative, this wouldn’t have happened!

THREE articles about Justin Brannan and the lobbyists at the Coney Island Casino have come out.
1) Today, the Brooklyn Eagle’s article had the quote above. See the article here:
https://brooklyneagle.com/articles/2025/06/14/the-coney-casino-at-council-hearing
Justin Brannan should not be voting on anything with the casino in Coney Island at this point.

2) “In Crain’s article, Richard Briffault, the former chair of the NYC’s Conflicts of Interest Board wrote in an email that Brannan’s interaction with the developers at the hearing would not be improper, since city laws against coordination with super PACs require “an actual agreement” with the candidate about the contents of the PAC’s advertisements.”

Campaign Finance shows that New Yorkers for Accountability spent $30,000 on this digital ad for Justin Brannan”

3) City and State talked more about the lobbyists.

Read the article:

Brooklyn, vote against Justin Brannan for putting Brooklyn in this position! Mark Levine said no the casino in Manhattan.
See Coney Island speak out against Councilman Justin Brannan: https://x.com/AmusingZillion/status/1934455967913030025
Brooklynites should not have to fight the Councilman to stop the casino – the Councilman should have stood with the people.

In March 2023, I wrote that Justin Brannan would be the worst thing for Coney Island because he was lobbied by the casino. Coney Island is in a terrible position and there aren’t any good Democrats standing up against this.
