Update on the Parrot – The Bird Received Water
A Bay Ridge resident named Anne was able to give the parrot at 8711 – 5th Avenue water yesterday! She has limited access and is stopping in with fresh water.
The bird has not been moved yet. The tenants were moving a cat and bird and then something happened and just the cat was moved.
Thank you to all the Brooklyn residents who called for help for the parrot.
I am surprised that the 68th Precinct did not help (yes, I called the precinct). I was surprised Senator Andrew Gounardes did not take action for the bird.
We were surprised that calling 311 didn’t help. Our report and someone else’s were closed and they both said that the police did not see a violation. SMH.
