Senator Gounardes Wants To Build Affordable Housing on Church Properties

Senator Andrew Gounardes was elected into office years ago because he claimed he was going to help Bay Ridge home owners.
Years ago, Gounardes promised home owners he would fight for fair property taxes. He also said he would fight against illegal basements. Andrew Gounardes has never rallied or protested in Albany for Bay Ridge home owners.
This year, Gounardes is pushing building affordable housing on religious property. While that may be alright in some areas, it could be awful for people whose property in near a church or religious owned property. (See the bill here)
The bill is very vague and fails to give any limits or distance from surrounding properties.
Gounardes and his wife recently purchased a home in Bay Ridge, but there home is not near any churches. He would never push a bill which would adversely affect his home, but yours -> too bad.
Gounardes is the cheerleader of the Democratic Party. If someone is pushing a bill, like the cannabis bill, Gounardes jumps on. He doesn’t seem to read the whole bill or understand the implications, so we have almost 30 illegal cannabis shops in Bay Ridge. Even though they are operating illegally, Gounardes has not take action to close these shops.
