Cannabis Shop Applicants for CB 10 in Bay Ridge
Tonight, Community Board 10’s Meeting discussed the five applicants for legal cannabis shops in Bay Ridge:
a) Store at 6918 – 5th Avenue – The company is MRC 6918 LLC – They didn’t fill out a CB 10 questionnaire and they didn’t attend the CB 10 Meeting. *This is near a mosque in Bay Ridge. CB 10 denied their application.
b) 455 – 86th Street – R Man Holdings LLC. Edgar withdrew his application for this location.
c) Store at 455 – 86th Street. Another company is opening at this location. They will have security cameras and a security guard. This is for the first floor only. They are offering a delivery service. APPROVED Applicant – no smoking or consumption on the premise. No ebikes. (Only 9 CB 10 opposed this shop. Approved)
d) My Happy Weed 6817 3rd Avenue has a HEMP license. They sold marijuana from 2022 – 2023. CB 10 presented that they had calls for this shop selling to underage children. This location is near the Guild for Exceptional Children, Gateway City Academy and the new school being built on 3rd Avenue. (DENY APPLICATION – 1 ABSTAINED)
e) 1205 – 86th Street: CB 10 asked for a 30 day extension on this site.
