Rally in Gravesend Against the Homeless Shelter
Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis, Assemblyman Bill Colton and City Council representatives Ari Kagan and Susan Zhuang rallied in the rain against the homeless shelter at 2501 – 86th Street. (More info)
Malliotakis lives in Staten Island and thought it was important enough to come to Brooklyn in the rain and rally.

Nicole Malliotakis shared on social media: “Joined the communities of Bath Beach & Gravesend #Brooklyn to FIGHT the City’s newly proposed migrant shelter. Stop cutting services from citizens to fund these shelters that have become nothing more than a business destroying the quality of life in NYC neighborhoods.”
District 43’s City Councilwoman shared that the community wants jobs – not homeless shelters.
Senator Iwen Chu did not attend the rally.
