Grandmother Killed While Walking With Stroller in Bath Beach
A 66-year-old grandmother was walking with her granddaughter in a stroller in Bath Beach, Brooklyn around 1:00 pm today. She was struck by a pickup truck while crossing Bath Avenue and 25th Avenue. (NY Post)
The woman was brought to NYU Langone Hospital, but unfortunately died.
After the accident, the 2-year-old granddaughter was in the street under the red truck. People reached under to get her out. The baby had a cut on her forehead and some scrapes. (Source) She was brought to Maimonides Hospital and thankfully only has minor injuries.
The 56-year-old driver remained at the scene and was not charged. (Source) The Citizen app had very little information about this accident. (Here)
RIP. Prayers for this woman’s family – today must have been one of the saddest and scariest days of their lives.
