Nicole Malliotakis Co-Sponsored The Schools Not Shelters Act Which Passed in the House Today
In June, Mayor Adams ran out of space for migrants to stay. His team set up some migrants in the gym of PS 188 elementary school in Coney Island. (Info) Parents worried about the safety of their children. Some protested and some kept their children home! Mayor Adams moved the migrants to another location. (Info)
Nicole Malliotakis co-sponsored HR 3941, so schools can not be used to shelter migrants and is only for student use. (See here) The House passed this bipartisan legislation today.

This is why people like Nicole Malliotakis – she stands up for her community. Not only was the legislation good, but Malliotakis’ communication about it was excellent.
