Man on Scooter Tried to Escape the NYPD

A guy on a scooter tried to escape the NYPD on the bike path in Bay Ridge – near the Verrazzano Bridge.
Watch Loudlabs video and you can hear the police sirens, but the guy on the scooter continued riding, instead of pulling over.
Once the man on the scooter crashed, he jumped up and tried to run away. The police officers ran after him and arrested him!
Loudlabs always shares the latest news with Bay Ridge!
Councilman Justin Brannan sponsored the legislation to allow scooters and ebikes on NYC streets – he didn’t just vote for it. You can see Brannan is a sponser here and here.
While some obey the law, many scooter and ebike users know they are untraceable and that’s why they will try to escape the police. Everyone needs a license, so they are traceable and accountable.
Brannan is unwilling to update the law to make this happen, even though residents complain about ebikes and scooters every week.
