A hate crime happened in Bay Ridge last week.
Hate crimes is the last category on the Crime Stats. You can see this for yourself here – pull down Brooklyn South and then 68th Precinct.
Senator Gounardes and Councilman Brannan either don’t know a hate crime happened or they don’t want you to know.
We need leaders who aren’t afraid to talk about hate crimes and to deal with them. Pretending they didn’t happen, just makes matters worse.
*The Hate Crime percentage should show 100%, but they only show -100% on the 68th Precinct’s crimestats.
