Some Residents in Dyker Heights Have No Water – Some Have Brown Water
Many residents on 11th Avenue in the 60’s have no water (for some that also means they don’t have heat tonight either.)
Residents say there was a water main burst on 11th Ave between 67th and 69th Streets last night. This morning people stepped out into water and saw the DEP in the area.
Some residents in nearby streets have dark colored water in the toilet and sink.
The Con Edison map (here) only shows that two homes have a partial outage 71st Street.
Today, the water was shut off around 2:00 pm – the residents weren’t given any warning. It’s almost 9:00 pm and the people still have no water.
