Max Rose Became A Two-Time Loser….How Andrew Gounardes Helped That Happen

Congratulations to Nicole Malliotakis on her huge win over Rose AGAIN. Nicole Malliotakis did an excellent job as Congresswoman.
Every time Malliotakis voted, she shared the vote and why she voted with the community. She went on the news and told the public what was going on as well. Even if you don’t agree with her politically, she was being forthright with information consistently.

Max Rose wasn’t even able to get to the typical 40%. And that is Max Rose’s fault.
Last year, when the NYS government presented the maps, the area in green was the district that was made for Max Rose:

Andrew Gounardes should have spoken out and said, “No my community has been gerrymandered for a long time. Let’s make a fair district.” But Gounardes wanted an easy to win district for himself – his district was changed by 80% into the left leaning Park Slope and Downtown Brooklyn.
The Republican’s sued over the district maps. In America, it’s disgusting that anyone would need to sue for a fair district. (Andrew Gounardes should be ashamed of himself for not stepping up for his community or Brooklyn).
The Court made a fair district for Nicole Malliotakis when the Democrats failed to. This meant that our district has even more Republicans and is even more conservative than before. See graphic below!

Gounardes and Michael Gianaris thought it was okay to push out Nydia Velázquez and mess with Malliotakis’s district as well. (So much for Gounardes supporting women)
Here’s why Max Rose deserves this BIG LOSS: Max Rose could have spoken up and said, “I want to win in the district I have. Don’t change the district Andrew.” Instead, Rose rented a storefront in that new area to start campaigning. Rose got Brad Lander and Bobby Carroll to endorse him – two men who lean far left.
Max Rose’s loss can be chalked up to him “going along” with Democrats who thought it was okay to gerrymander Brooklyn. If only Max Rose spoke up….or Andrew Gounardes had a little integrity, this never would have happened.

Where was Justin Brannon? For years we heard “gerrymandering is a hell of a drug” when we had Marty Golden in office. All of that rhetoric died once his friend Andrew won and worked to secure his seat.

Brannan was a quiet because his NYC Council district is also gerrymandered
