Why Didn’t Justin Brannan Tell Us He Went to the REBNY Gala in June?

Shorefront News had an article about Justin Brannan, but they didn’t mention that Councilman Brannan attended REBNY’s Gala at the end of June.

What is REBNY? REBNY stands for The Real Estate Board of New York.

Each year, REBNY has a gala and honors people in commercial real estate. Someone is recognized for winning the deal of the year with an award (Seen here – scroll to the right) They used to have a formal party and the men wore tuxedos. This year, they went modern and had a rooftop party at The Glasshouse at 12th Avenue and 48th Street.

Jummane Williams discussed Governor Hochul being at the Gala:

How do I know about REBNY? Justin Brannan and Chris McCreight told me the basics about REBNY when Golden was in office. Then I researched REBNY on my own. (See Info)

There’s a whole website dedicated to the Gala – see here. And a digital journal has photos of all the buildings – see here.

It’s odd that Councilman Brannan, a regular user of social media, didn’t post even one photo of the canape stations at the gala. The press mentioned that Brannan attended the Gala here and here. Brannan also didn’t tell us that REBNY was behind changing office space into housing – see here.

Sadly for REBNY, 421-A was cancelled without a replacement this year. We saw Brannan gave out some property tax exemptions in May. (See here) We don’t know why the council representative for that district didn’t handle that?

Councilman Brannan can’t even be himself on social media anymore because his base would ridicule him for being at a REBNY event. (More about the event)

Now back to Shorefront News article…….REBNY wants to turn office buildings into housing and our Councilman was so kind to look into that for them. (Info)

Shorefront News is written by an insider – please include the lobbyists and tell Brooklyn which Brooklyn politicians attended the Gala. I’m often asked very detailed questions about lobbyists, maybe they could take that on.
