City Council Approved A Budget Carelessly And Now They Wrote a Letter – Justin Brannan Signed

Many NYC schools received budgets that required they cut staf and that means fantastic art programs will be missing from those skills. NYC Council approved a budget fast this year.
Each council member should have reviewed how the budget affected their community before they voted in favor of this budget.
Forty Council members including, Justin Brannan signed this letter asking the Mayor to restore the budget. (See the letter)
Why did Councilman Brannan, head of finance for City Council, submit this budget when it wasn’t ready? NYC has several reserves, so why cut schools in Northern Manhattan?
?@NYCMayor? calling people protesting over $1B in @NYCSchools? budget cuts “clowns”. Really? Thanks ?@MATTtheG? and all those who showed up to demand that our schools are fully funded! pic.twitter.com/mEBlQFbnG8

A few days ago, Mayor Adams shamed educators and activists who protested the Mayor over the school budgets. (Click on video above) These are not clowns, they are people who are standing up for schools because NYC Council didn’t do the right thing on the budget. Some schools need extra teachers for English Language learners.
NYC Chancellor stated: NYC Council is responsible for the budget they signed.

NYS Senator Jackson has spoken out about the budget for schools because NYS fully funded schools. We should have seen Senator Andrew Gounardes speak out, but as usual he does not.
