NYPD Commission is Clear While Gounardes Cries On Twitter About Supreme Court’s Decision
‘If you carry a gun illegally in New York City, you will be arrested’ — NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell made clear that the Supreme Court’s decision will not immediately affect laws in the city pic.twitter.com/8vKs59dNQC

Commission Sewell made a statement so everyone is clear that the law has not changed in NYC. If someone is carrying a gun illegally in NYC, they will be arrested.

Politicians were less rationale.
Senator Gounardes cried about it on Twitter and was a useless politician. People still need to get a permit to get a gun in NY.
While I support strong gun safety rules, the law of the land is also important. People have the right to own a gun and the Supreme Court needs to guarantee that. I am tired of Andrew Gounardes not working within those laws. Gounardes did the same thing when he voted to gerrymander this community and a court had to rule that it was unconstitutional.
We shouldn’t have seen Gounardes and other politicians crying on social media – we should have seen them making plans to make schools safer. They should be keeping the doors to schools locked and installing cameras at school entries. Parents can still go to the school, but this will deter some people who are having a mental episode from getting in.
Hugs,
marlene

With Andrew’s new district considerably bluer than his past district expect the real leftist that he is to come out. I knew this would happen once redistricting was complete. Andrew was never a moderate, he just acted as such to slip by with a win in 2018 and 2020. Hopefully Bay Ridge likes his style going forward. I expect we’ll see much more of it.
