Grand Larceny is up 450% in Bay Ridge
Look on the bright side: No one was murdered this week in Bay Ridge.
Business were robbed a lot last week (40 – compared to 14 last year) and those numbers are not part of the top crimes, so don’t be fooled by anyone saying crime is down.
I think a lot of people don’t care as long as they (or someone they know) weren’t robbed.
There a lot of people who do care because they don’t want more businesses to close or their friends and relatives moving away because they no longer feel safe.
Here’s the Compstats for last week:
Grand Larceny is up 450% in our community. That means there are a lot of creeps around robbing.
We need police patrolling – try it – it works!
UPDATE: A Bay Ridge know-it-all guy went to Compstats took the new stats for the week and posted them. He wrote, “I don’t know where she got these statistics from, but here’s what is on Compstat.” I let him know he had a different date and he went silent.
