Homeowners – This Property Tax Meeting by Senator Gounardes Was Not Useful
Last year, my husband went to the meeting that the politicians held about property taxes with the Department of Finance.
It wasn’t helpful at all. Here’s why:
a) The politicians were there to say hello and then logged out of the meeting. A staffer was logged in with their camera off.
b) The person from the Department of Finance showed slides, but didn’t have any new information. Although they offered to take questions, they didn’t answer any. They told my husband to go to the next meeting which was weeks after that meeting.
c) My husband was the only one who asked questions, so someone should have provided an answer.
d) The politician‘s staffer who was logged did not have her camera on and did not provide any assistance when the Department of Finance failed to help. My husband didn’t receive an email from the politician’s office with help, but should have.
