Why Didn’t We Know That There Was Problems At This Bay Ridge Business A Long Time Ago?

This week, a family will bury their 22-year-old son. He went out in Bay Ridge with his friends to have some drinks and relax after working all week.
How are we here and why did the community not have any warning about this business?
Two politicians are stating that Catrina’s Restaurant is a place where there is:

Why haven’t we heard about these incidents in our local papers? Answer: Because our local papers are filled with press releases and stories made from politicians social media.
According to the New York SLA website (State Liquor Authority), Catrina’s Restaurant was fined on December 16, 2022 for $1500.

Why hasn’t the 68th Precinct mentioned that there were “unruly fights” outside of Catrina’s Restaurant at their meetings? The newspaper says these were known. (See here)
If there were sexual assaults at Catrina’s where is this noted in the Crime stats? Young women should be informed about where sexual assaults are happening so they can avoid those places.
Why hasn’t Andrew Gounardes and Justin Brannan’s included the names of businesses who aren’t following the law in Bay Ridge in their social media and newsletters? We don’t need more pictures of the politicians posing – we need information.
Bay Ridge isn’t that “small town” when elected officials aren’t sharing pertinent information so people can keep themselves safe.
ALL WE KEEP HEARING IS CRIME IS DOWN. We know it’s not.
Community Board 10 has a Committee for liquor license. Catrina’s has a liquor license in our area since 2018. They were renewed on 3/12/20 and they will be up for renewal in three months – 5/31/22.

What other businesses aren’t following the laws and why is this “well-documented” information not been shared anywhere?
Councilman Brannan and Senator Gounardes wrote the letter below to the Liquor Authority:

Why is there only one letter?
Why doesn’t Andrew Gounardes ever write a letter for himself? Why are we paying for him to have a staff when all he does is sign the Councilman’s letter?
I saw some Ridgites hailing the politicians for writing this letter. No Bay Ridge resident would hail writing a letter, if they knew about the last letter these politicians wrote. (See here) Please don’t expect so little from people who we elected and are being paid to take action for this community.

The politicians wrote a similar letter in October after the shooting outside of Chill Hookah Bar. (See here) Despite their letter, Chill’s liquor license was renewed on November 1, 2021.

Neither Brannan or Gounardes let the community know that Chill’s liquor license was renewed on November 1, 2021 and will continue to 10/31/2023.

Senator Gounardes failed to alert the community in his printed newsletter that cost thousands to print in color and mail out.
Andrew Gounardes also has failed to hold a Townhall meeting since taking office (he held an Education Townhall one year, but not a general Townhall meeting).
During the pandemic many senators held townhall meetings online (Like This), but Gounardes failed to have any meetings where the public could ask questions. Now that people can meet because 80% of NYC is vaccinated, Gounardes should be holding a Townhall.
According to the SLA website, Chill was fined $3,000 on November 12th this year. Again – no paper or politician reported this to the community.

What are politicians doing to help businesses to conquer the underage drinking, illegal drugs and fights outside of these places?
Everyone in the community should know which businesses in our community are obeying the law and which aren’t.
