College Was Student Attacked on 86th Street in Bay Ridge For Wearing IDF Sweatshirt
On Sunday, December 26th, Blake Zavadsky and Ilan Kaganovich went to Foot Locker on 86th Street in Bay Ridge.

The college students waited outside the store because it wasn’t open yet. (Source)
Zavadsky was wearing a hoodie with the IDF, the Israeli military hooded sweatshirt, which angered another man. The man told him to take off the sweatshirt.
When Zavadsky didn’t comply he was punched outside of Footlocker on 86th Street.
The employees at Footlocker didn’t help – Blake asked one for a napkin because his face was bleeding. They didn’t give him a napkin. (Source)
Zavadsky has a black eye in the photos in the newspaper. See here
The Anti-Defamation League has offered $5000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of people responsible for this act. If you know anything, you can report it here.
The police are looking for this alleged perpetrator.

It’s being investigated as a hate crime. It’s awful that people are experiencing antisemitism as they are shopping in the area.
