Congresswoman Malliotakis and Others Introduce Goldie’s Act to Protect Dogs at Puppy Mills

When Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis was sworn in, she brought her dog, Peanut with her. I’m glad she considers animals important and is actively working to strengthen animal welfare enforcement laws.
Malliotakis, along with Congresswoman Axne (from Iowa), Congressman Fitzpatrick (PA.) Congressman Quigley (IL), Conresswoman Wild (PA) and Conresswoman Buchanan (FL) introduced Goldie’s Act to protect dogs in puppy mills. This is a bipartisan bill.
The bill is named after a golden retriever who died in a Iowa puppy mill which had over 100 violations of the Animal Welfare Act. (See horrible photo of Goldie)
