Small Garbage Cans Don’t Work for Bay Ridge Streets

These photos of Bay Ridge Avenue and 4th Avenue were shared tonight.
People have been complaining about dirty streets to Justin Brannan for awhile, but he doesn’t seem to be doing anything to correct the problem.

Small garbage cans on busy streets no longer work.
This isn’t the beginning of the pandemic – this is almost a year into the pandemic!

When pickups aren’t happening as frequently, it’s obvious that larger cans are needed in the area.
Why hasn’t Brannan purchased larger cans?

Where is the money from this district going when most not-for-profits are operating less frequently – if at all?
.

The cans on that corner will never be big enough as they are being filled up with household trash from the apartment buildings near there.

People are bringing their garbage to the corner They have good intentions to throw it in the garbage. But the garbage can is too small.
Yes, everyone knows household garbage doesn’t belong there, but at some point someone needs to either ticket the people or put a larger can. Give the apartment house a small dumpster.
Leaders need to come up with solutions not cry on social media about it.
