Bay Ridge Free Covid-19 Testing – Fast Too
1) Mobile rapid testing sites were added by the city. Free and same day results! The two that are near us:
Bensonhurst: 6315 14th Avenue – NYC Health and Hospital Site (people have said there isn’t a long wait here)

2) COVID Mobile Testing in the Parks (Call 311 to see if these are still there)
a)Leif Ericson Park – 6600 Fort Hamilton Parkway (my friend went here and got called the next day that her results were negative)
b) Seth Low Park – Corner of 74th Street and Bay Parkway
c) Gravesend Park – 18th and 19th Avenue and 56th Street
3) Pro Health Urgent Care on 100th Street (10033 4th Avenue). It’s on 4th Avenue and 100th Street. (They have so many people that they don’t answer the phone often so people have been getting frustrated because they can’t get their results after trying multiple times). They tell people they won’t call then if they are negative, but people want to call and make sure.
Call: 347-909-7044. They have the rapid test, regular test and Antibody test. Rapid test has been free for people and they found out the results in a half an hour by phone. 8:00 am – 8:00 pm every day.
4) Brooklyn Army Terminal 58th Street and 2nd Avenue. This place has fast test with results in 1/2 hour. They can also do the regular nose swab with the results in 24 hours (some people say the fast test isn’t accurate, so some people are opting for both).
5) NYC Free Rapid Testing at PS 503 on 60th Street and 3rd Avenue. Free covid rapid test (not antibody). This guy on Twitter wrote: that he got to the school around 10:00 am, the doors opened at noon and he was out with the instant results by 1:30 pm.” When I left the people towards the front of the line had been waiting in line for two hours already and would have had a way longer wait inside than me
6) Bay Chemist at 8702 5th Avenue has the rapid Covid Test – results in 15 minutes for $80.
7) NYC Health and Hospital 2214 – Bath Avenue. Covid only. 48 – 72 hours. Walk in, no appointment. Need insurance.
8) Drive-thru at 888 Fountain Avenue – It’s at the Gateway Exit on the Belt Parkway. 11208. Results in 18 hours. Free.
9) NYU (Lutheran Hospital) 150 55th Street in Sunset Park. It used to be two days – it is not 24 hours. *You need an appointment here. You go in and get tested right away. They have late appointments.
10) Kings County Hospital at 451 Clarkson Avenue has Covid tests with a 24-30 hour return time. Free. No appointment needed. Site shows they are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday for testing.
10) COVID testing site at 8511 5th Avenue (yes the old American greeting card store’s). 9:00 am – 7:00 pm.
They have the regular Covid-19 test only. They don’t have the antibody tests. Walk-in, no appointment. It takes about 7 minutes for the whole process there. Free test – no health insurance needed. People are waiting 12 days for results (was quicker in June).
11) City MD at 8712 – 4th Avenue also have the antibody test. 718-530-1155. 8:00 am – 8:00 pm Monday to Friday. On the weekends, they are open 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. In August, the results took 4-5 days (From May – June, it was 2-3 days)
12) SOMOS is outside of 757 – 60 Street (between 7th and 8th Avenue.
They have the COVID-19 IgM/IgG Test site (which means this is a free Covid testing and antibody testing too)

The site is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Requirement for Antibody Test: At least 2 weeks after the testing or symptoms started or has close contact with COVID-19 patients

13) GPM has the antibody testing. They are testing kids and parents too. (It was 48 hours for the results now longer). Need insurance.
14) PM Pediatrics at 1823 86th Street tests children. Need insurance.
15) If your doctor writes a script, you can do the test at Quest.
16) If you don’t want someone swiping your nose with the the long swabs, Staten Island has the self-swab test (drive through test)

Update: My friend called them early today. They said the office was busy and she should wait until later because there is over an hour wait. This is a blood test, so the test are not going to run out. My friend went in at 2:30 and was out before 3:00. She didn’t have to pay a co-payment and the test was covered completely under her insurance. Results used to be in 48 hours now much longer!
