Mathylde Frontus’ Bill to Protect Children
Mathylde Frontus announced that her bill A.7970 passed in the Assembly. It’s a great bill which will provide real reform.
This bill requires video recording of all youth interrogations by law enforcement at designated facilities approved for the questioning of youth.
Video recordings promote transparency and integrity in the interrogation process and help minimize false confessions and wrongful convictions.
Let’s hope Velmanette Montgomery can carry the bill in the Senate and get it passed.
