The Weakness of the Republican Party
![]()
The Republican Party had a great candidate – Joseph Caldarera.
Joe has a squeaky clean background. He’s optimistic and represents the ideals of the Republican Party.
Joe bought hand sanitizer at a distillery in Brooklyn to give out in Staten Island at the beginning of the Pandemic when no one had hand sanitizer. That’s someone who you want leading!
If he was a bit more towards the center on some of his opinions, Democrats would be interested in Joe.
What does the Republican Party do with that? Nothing…they didn’t offer him any support or back him – even though he represents what they believe in.
Joe’s biggest weakness was his age, but it shouldn’t have been. If there was a real Republican Party they would have thrown their support behind Joe.
Hugs,
marlene

Since you have been reading this blog for awhile, you know I don’t see Malliotakis as an effective leader.
You come to this site to read the blog because you know I don’t get personal on Malliotakis – I talk about her work in this community….which there isn’t much. Malliotakis, Savino and Treyger are the reason why the bike path looks the way it does.
Malliotakis could have spoken up for this community many times, but she didn’t. You know that’s true too or you never would have come back here.
