Mara Gay Will Feed You Her Agenda Even If It Doesn’t Add Up
Watch the video of MSNBC’s news segment below. Journalist, Mara Gay didn’t hear anything wrong with what she said.
Mara Gay likes to push her own agenda and if the facts don’t match, she’ll make them match!
Brian Williams read the tweet and Mara Gay responded, “It’s true and it’s disturbing.” Even a third grader would be able to tell that tweet wasn’t true.
What’s true and disturbing is the low level of journalism we are receiving.
A few weeks ago, Mara Gay wrote in the New York Times about bail reform. Gay purposely left out the horrible sexual assault that happened to a woman in the 95th Street MTA station restroom in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. (See here) The man who sexually assaulted the Bay Ridge woman was was released from Rikers due to the changes in the bail law. I tweeted Mara Gay about the Bay Ridge woman being left out of her article and Gay ignored me because that the Brooklyn woman doesn’t support Gay’s promotion of bail reform.
After writing about Mara Gay’s article omitting the Bay Ridge woman, someone wrote and told me that Gay was sexually assaulted. In 2018, Mara Gay chose to share that she was raped during Brett Kavanaugh’s hearing to become a Supreme Court judge. You would think Mara Gay would want the truth to be heard and have reported about the Bay Ridge woman. BUT SHE DIDN’T. Mara Gay chose not to be a voice for a woman who became collateral damage of the NYS bail reform changes.
In the news segment, Mara Gay heard Brian Williams read the tweet aloud and Mara Gay still thought that every American could be given a million dollars. She didn’t hear what he said because she was so set on her agenda!
Mara Gay thought she was nailing Bloomberg. After sharing information that wasn’t true and going on television and saying something untrue, does she own Bloomberg an apology? Absolutely! Williams apologized about the math error, but we didn’t see Mara Gay say anything other than this tweet after her ridiculous reporting on MSNBC. Gay had the platform to share a simple apology, but didn’t.
Hugs,
marlene
