One of the Best Events Before Christmas – 12/15

The Historic New Utrecht Reformed Church on 18th Avenue and 84th Street will have their annual Live Nativity outside the church from 3:00 – 5:00 pm on Sunday, December 15, 2019.

Many years ago I was going to the drugstore across the street and saw the nativity for the first time. It was magical. The simple and beautiful nativity is something I look forward to seeing each year.

   I am glad the tradition continues. Over 50 years ago my brother, sister, myself and my cousins participated in the Live Nativity. Back then it was done I think for a week. I remember after we did our turn we would go into the parish house and have hot chocolate and cookies.
