Stephen Witt Goes After Dr. Frontus
Stephen Witt from Kings County Politics wrote about the NY Assembly not funding all of Dr. Mathylde Frontus’ projects.
In his article, Witt blames Mathylde and this is particularly unfair.
I have seen Witt take this approach towards Frontus before. I’m not sure why.
Witt doesn’t live in Dr. Frontus’ district. But I do.
If there was even a sign of corruption – I’d call it out.
Dr. Frontus went out of her way to be transparent (see here) – as she said she would. In fact, if you look at the organizations that she was giving money to in Bay Ridge, you can see they are high quality ones that we all know are run by excellent people who just want to help others. Also see the comments, residents see Dr. Frontus as a good leader.
Witt has never discussed Nicole Malliotakis’ funding (or lack there of for Bay Ridge) FOR ALL THESE YEARS.
Dr. Frontus is a freshman assemblywoman and one of the comments explained that the speaker rotates funding to different committees. Why didn’t Stephen Witt have that in his article?
I am unsure why food pantries (even the one in our district) wasn’t the first thing funded by NYC Council members. People who live her believe that is happening because it makes sense to fund a food pantry before anything else.
Back to Stephen Witt – back off our Assemblywoman! There’s corruption happening out there…but this isn’t it.
