Why Comic Sans is Used Here?
I didn’t start using comic sans when I started writing here. Originally I used a standard font – maybe verdana.
One night, I changed the font to comic sans because I was writing in a poorly lit room. I meant to change it back before I published, but I forgot. I received several comments asking me to use that font, rather than old narrow one. One of my long-time readers is a gentleman who is dyslexic. Comic sans was an easier font for him to read. A close friend of ours has dyslexia, so we understood his frustration.
Two other Bay Ridge seniors asked me to use to use a bolder font because it is easier to read on their device. One of them is a regular commenter, who reminds to to write about seniors. I’m not sure if he is a fan or just wants to remind me that I will be a senior who will need information one day!
Years ago, there were font wars, but now people realize the world has bigger issues!
Hugs,
marlene
