The woman on the left is a Mother who has been asking for more safety for this area…thank you Denise.
They called on the NYPD and the Department of Transportation for solutions to this growing street problem. A few months ago, the 68th Precinct said they would monitor this area, but we haven’t seen that happen.
Here on 78th and 10th Avenue with Council Member @JustinBrannan & community activists urgently calling for action from @NYC_DOT in a crash-plagued area in Dyker Heights. We need traffic calming now, not after the next fatality. #DriveLikeYourKidsLiveHere pic.twitter.com/Hk06mesfg8

Josephine from Community Board 10 was also present to speak about this problem.
Where are the NCO’s for this area? We have never seen them in this area. NCO’s are police officers that should be walking the beat in the area through the community policing program we received last year.
We’ve been lucky that no one has died here….yet.
Hugs,
marlene
