Jerry Kassar Home Reporter Article
Jerry Kassar, head of the NY Conservative Party wrote something strange in The Home Reporter.
While Kassar’s article is marked as an opinion, he can’t change the facts in Bay Ridge. Well he can, but below there are pictures and videos which will show Kassar’s article is misleading…we hope not on purpose.
Of course Councilman Justin Brannan walked in the parade!
A beautiful day for the 152nd annual Kings County #MemorialDay Parade.
How lucky we are to have it right here in our community.
Thanks to everyone who works hard behind the scenes to keep this important tradition going strong. pic.twitter.com/gSJexxfeIs

Brannan loves this community and proudly walked the whole parade with the Bay Ridge Democrats. Brannan was smiling ear to ear when he passed us.
Press play below and you will see Brannan walking with his Chief of Staff and his group, the Bay Ridge Democrats.
Kassar wrote that he was at the park at the end of the parade. How did he n0t see and hear Coucilman Brannan on the stage?
Press Play to see Councilman Brannan chatting and walking with the banner after his – Jumane Williams’ banner:
I guess this is part of the political game. It actually makes Kassar look petty because who would use the Memorial Day Parade to talk about another political party when the day was about those who lost their lives?
Maybe Kassar doesn’t realize that these representatives are more about connecting with their people? Residents love Max Rose.

Kassar didn’t mention our Assemblywoman Frontus. When I saw “our,” I mean his and mine. She was there too – with the people – See here and here. I love her – not just because she gave the Bay Ridge Senior Center $100,000, but because she is an outstanding woman.
Senator Andrew Gounardes helped during the parade (see pic below). At times he waved, but he also went and talked with residents. Kassar used to work for the former senator, Golden and he may see understand that is more than one way to be in a parade.
Kassar wrote that Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis marched with a large contingent behind her. Malliotakis doesn’t represent Kassar, so why did he use his column to push his political party. Malliotakis had about 8 people with her – some are not from this district. Ted Ghorra and other well-known Republicans were not with her.
See the video below:
Behind Malliotakis was a new political group. The Verrazzano Republicans had three people behind their banner.
Finally, it appeared like there was eight people (including Kassar) behind the Conservative banner – you can check the video above.
Maybe that is a large group for Kassar?
Th facts matter to this community. If you are writing an article for a paper, they should matter to the writer and newspaper as well.
