Gravesend Woman is Killed in a Hit and Run
Francine LaBarbara, the mother of twin fifteen year old boys was killed by a car today in the crosswalk on Avenue Y and West 2nd Street around 8:00 am this morning in #Gravesend, Brooklyn. Francine was just steps away from her home. The driver fled the scene and the police are asking for any tips about the accident.
Francine LaBarbara, 57 years old was the Marketing Executive for a popular bagel store in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Both of LaBarbara’s son attend prestigious Catholic high schools in Manhattan. They appeared in the Brooklyn Reporter in 2017 because of their academics and service in the community. Francine must have been so proud to have two amazing sons! Now they are going to grow up without a mother because someone couldn’t drive at a normal speed or even stop to help Francine when they hit her.
