Fire Smell in Bay Ridge

It stinks in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn tonight as the smoke from the brush fire in Staten Island made it to Bay Ridge.  More than 200 fire fighters were at the former Fresh Kills landfill fighting off a brush fire. Apparently the fire jumped across the West Shore Espressway and it was closed. It will probably take until at least Tuesday or Wednesday to get this fire contained.

   They say that since the land is so dry around the US there are going to be a lot of fires like this.
