What if I do make it to heaven? Then what?
So let’s say that I live a good life and when I die, I am allowed to enter heaven. We’re all suppose to want to be in heaven, right?
But now that I am thinking of it, when we get to heaven, it’s not like God is going to let us lie around and relax in paradise. God doesn’t strike me as someone who is interested in people laying around and relaxing all day. So when I get to heaven, do you think I will have to work?
Hugs,
marlene

Hmmm…that’s a good question! I don’t know but now that you have entered the question into my brain I will be pondering over it. Stopped in to say Happy New Years. Take Care :)

Well, the was I understand it, most of the time will be spent in praise. Singin’ and stuff, right? But I’d imagine we’ll have time to ourselves to do whatever it is ethereal entities like to do. Like try to feed rainbows to puppies.

I don’t think it will feel like work in the sense that we understand it. Heaven will change our whole perspective!

Well, I think our mind is too small to comprehend the magnitude of God and His greatness. Whatever we actually do in heaven, we will definitely be in the presence of God and be filled with joy and peace. But, you made one error…. living a good life will not get you to heaven – we have all come short because of sin. Only Jesus and get us there, that’s why we shouldn’t waste time. We need to repent, accept Jesus as our Saviour and live a life of service to Him and fellow man. God bless you!

Actually we will have work. Those who didn’t learn the Gospel on Earth will be learning that. Some people will be teaching it, of course. We’ll actually be very busy doing acts of service.

I highly recommend the book “Heaven” by Randy Alcorn. It will give you amazing insight into what heaven will be like.

I don’t believe in heaven, so I can’t comment on what it will be like. I think we should concern ourselves with the here and now.

That is a thoughtful post, Marlene! Check out Psalm 37:11 and 29 then go to Revelation 5:9 & 10, and let me know what you think!
Pray for truth, and take care,
