Replacement for Mark Treyger – Steve Patzer!
Councilman Mark Treyger from the 47th District is term-limited so the Democrats are choosing a new candidate.
Steve Patzer would make a good City Councilman because he has been working in his community on change already.
Sometimes when a candidate runs for office, they have very little information about what they stand for, Patzer’s website clearly outlines what he will do when he is elected. He has a lot of great ideas to help and support the community. (See here)
Patzer’s a community builder and doesn’t care what party someone is in, he’s willing to work with everyone. Ray Denaro, a Republican and Patzer run the Bath Beach – Gravesend Alliance to help their community (See here) Most recently, they have been working to get food to families have been hurt by Covid-19.
Steve Patzer does not know me. Today, I asked several people, including Steve for help with the dog problem in Bay Ridge. Steve responded with helpful information right away! He knows I don’t live in his area and I won’t be able to vote him, but he still helped me.
Patzer’s work hasn’t been highlighted by newspapers, but it is definitely newsworthy! Patzer secured a three million dollar donation of SHSAT test preparation classes for students (See info here) While the city goes back and forth on what to do with the SHSAT, Patzer wants all students to be prepared to take the test. Amazing, right?
Finally, Steve Patzer isn’t part of the broken machine. He’s a fresh and enthusiastic candidate. Patzer and Frontus would be able to help Coney Island!

Robert Carroll Supports More Taxes on Brooklyn
Robert Carroll has known for years that there is a discrepancy in property taxes in Brooklyn AND HE HASN’T DONE ANYTHING ABOUT IT.
Instead of recommending that the property tax rate be fixed, Robert Carroll proposed just taxing people more!

This time Carroll wants to tax your Amazon package. (I am not kidding – see here)
Robert Carroll supported Andrew Gounardes campaign, even though Gounardes accepted money from a developer.

On December 5th, Krampus punishes children who have been bad by whipping them with his switch.
Dyker Frights didn’t have Halloween because of COVID-19 but they have Krapus for Christma!

Muslims Giving Back In Bay Ridge

Mohammed, the man in the video brings his food cart to Bay Ridge and to Manhattan. His group is called “Muslims Giving Back.”
On Thanksgiving Day, Muslims Giving Back gave out free meals in Bay Ridge.
Local newspapers don’t carry these stories, but BBC News did.
Mohammed said, “If the community can’t come to us, we will come to them.”
Pure kindness during the pandemic.
