On Sunday, December 27th from 12 – 9 pm,  Cousins Maine Lobster Truck will be at 8923 Bay Pkwy (the Kohls and Best Buy Shopping Lot).

They have soup, lobster rolls, tatter tots and sandwiches.

Bay Ridge CJD Dealership Gone?!

Saw the orange sign on the window of the Bay Ridge CJD Dealership at 8825 5th Avenue.

This car dealership has been part of Bay Ridge for many decades. Inside are empty desks and the showroom floor had no cars or Jeeps.

Bassett Catering Had a Huge Fire

Bassett Catering at 1404 – Avenue X in Sheepshead Bay had a huge fire. See story

A lot of Bay Ridge residents used their mobile barbecue menu this Summer because it was good and affordable (see here)

Christmas is one of the biggest seasons for them. The owner said that his employees will be out of work for at least three months.

Today, the workers showed up for work (they didn’t know about the fire) and helped clean up!

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

68th Precinct Receives Xmas Eve Cheer

The owners of E&J let the 68th Police Precinct know they are appreciated!

They stopped by with coffee and treats from Dunkin Donuts. (So sweet!!)

Buonasera Restaurant Opened on 11th Avenue in Dyker Heights

Update: Buonasera Ristorante is open!

Buonasera Ristorante hung a pretty tan and black striped awning at 6524 11th Avenue.

This location used to be La Sorrentina Restaurant on 66th Street and 11th Avenue.

There are two businesses – Buonasera Pizza and Buonasera Ristorrante!

Congratulations to the new owners!

Buona sera means good evening. May the owners have many great evenings at their beautiful place in Brooklyn!

It’s nice to see new restaurants opening in the area.

Merry Christmas Bay Ridge

Did you hear that wind last night?

Christmas is being celebrated a lot differently this year.

For many, who have lost family members this year, it is a sadder day.

Yet, millions of people will be celebrating Christ’s birthday today, even while a pandemic rages on throughout the world.

Almost 25,000 people have died in NYC from coronavirus. (Source) Many people continue to hold on to hope, even though the pandemic has turned their lives upside down.

I love the Bay Ridge home with the message of Hope. Thanks for spreading the message neighbor!

Merry Christmas Bay Ridge. Hopefully, we will have a redo and celebrate Christmas in July together!
