February 9, 2021Candidates for Brooklyn Borough President Meet and Greet Virtual Meeting on February 15th
Sigh!
Neighbors….why aren’t one of you running for this nice position? You could pump up Brooklyn, have some parties and stop the lobbyists that are taking over.
Next Monday night, February 15th at 6:00 pm, the Seaside Independent Democrats will share that on their Facebook page (here). Mathylde Frontus is part of this group so it will be an informative meeting.
I need to watch this meeting because I don’t know enough about all of these candidates.

Thank God!
The pandemic isn’t easy for kids.
What happened and where was Ryan? You want the story….the pandemic is going on and sometimes people need some time away. (See here)
The important thing is that Ryan is safe and returning to his family. No foul play.
He was last seen on Friday night near was last seen at his home on 86th Street and 14th Avenue.

Such sad news.
The Brooklyn Beet Company Restaurant at 7205 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge closed.
The door to the restaurants has a sign that says the storefront is for rent.
On their website is this message: “Brooklyn Beet Company at 7205 3rd Avenue is permanently closed. We love You and are grateful for every moment we got to share together.”
Their other restaurant, Korzo is still open. It’s on 20th Street and 5th Avenue – see here

Mixed reviews on Malliotakis’ art. Some of her haters went hard on her. Her supporters offered to donate money – one contributor said $100 for each drawing she does!

Dutch Mazz, a Bay Ridge Youtuber, shared pics of the beautiful mermaid being painted onto the gate at Ruby’s Bar & Grill in Coney Island.
Artist, Danielle Mastrion explained how Mike, the owner of Ruby’s wanted to keep the words ‘Coney Island’ and how to painted around them and included it in her mural. (See here)

February 6, 2021Bay Ridge Dunkin Donuts Thief
Dunkin Donuts on 5th Avenue and 75th Street in Bay Ridge was robbed on February 2nd. People said he had a large knife.
Last night another Dunkin Donuts in Bay Ridge (68th and 5th Avenue was robbed and he may be responsible for that one as well!
The Detectives at the 68th Precinct are trying to identify the DD Thief from the picture above.
The DD Thief was wearing a mask, but you may know him from his coat and stance.

February 5, 2021Luliano’s Wood Fired Pizza in Bay Ridge is Amazing
I don’t normally do restaurant reviews. (Hence the reason why I didn’t take a picture of the pizza BEFORE we started eating it).
When something is REALLY good, I share about it, especially when I haven’t heard anyone mention it.
Last night, Lee wanted a thin crust pizza with sausage and onions. I let him get whatever he wants on the pizza and I remove what I don’t want.
Luliano’s delivered a hot, crispy Grandmas pizza! It wasn’t as thin as Lentos pizza crust, but it had the right crunch, tasty sauce and everything was fresh!
Definitely worth a try if you like thin crust pizza!
Espresso Pizza on 4th Avenue and 95th Street is our go-to pizza place. Their pizza tastes like the pizza I ate as a kid – so good! 718-833-8750.
