Woman Robbed By Two Sneaky Women – West 13th Street in Brooklyn
Senator Steve Chan shared that around 9:30 am today, two women removed jewelry from a female victim, while pretending to be her friend. This happened at West 13 Street and Highlawn Avenue.
The women drove away in a black Hyundai SUV with out of state plates.
The NYPD 62nd Precinct responded quickly, took a report and the video from neighbors.

Liam McCabe is the Head of the Brooklyn Republicans and They Are United
Update: 9/25/25 I saw this:
Look at that – Liam McCabe is the GOP Boss.
Things seemed to have calmed down in the Brooklyn Republican Party’s reorganization.
The last we saw local Republicans were collecting proxy votes without the names of candidates on the proxy paper.
Now there is a UNITY slate. Let’s see what they will do.

Man Shot in Coney Island at 3:29 pm
Assemblyman Alec Brook-Krasny shared that there was a shooting in Coney Island at 4:29 pm this afternoon.
A 31-year-old male was shot in the right hip and thigh inside The Donut Connection at 1621 Mermaid Avenue.
He was taken to Lutheran Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Why wasn’t he taken to Coney Island hospital?

Motorcycles Stolen on Fort Hamilton Parkway
On Sunday night at 11:45 pm, three masked men stole several motorcycles and motorbikes along Fort Hamilton Parkway.
Police took a police report and the video footage. The men were wearing black ski masks so it will be hard to identify them.

Third Avenue Festival in Bay Ridge – 9/28/25
On Sunday, September 28th The Third Avenue Festival will take place from 69th Street to 94th Street on 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm. (Tell Your Friends!)
Sunday’s temperature is expected to be 78 degrees! But this event happens if it is raining as well.

2) 87th Street and 3rd Avenue is having live music all day by DJ XPlor, Sino & Laura’s Boys! for an Old School Brooklyn Block Party. Presented by The Corner, Brooklyn Roots, HoBrah & Kettle Black in addition to their friends at At War, Bad Ass Academy, Blue Eyed Boutique & Daybreake.
Laura’s Boys will perform outside of Kettle Black at 8622 – 3rd Avenue from 1:00 – 5:00 pm.
3) Popup Shop for Italian desserts at ALC Grocery at 8613 – 3rd Avenue

Coney Island – Four Votes Against the Casino
The Coney Island Advisory Committee has four votes against the casino. This means The Coney casino lost.
1) Assemblyman Alec Brook-Krasny appointed Marissa Solomon. Solomon was amazing. Brooks Krasny released this message today:
2) Senator Jessica Scarcella will be voting No.
3) Borough President, Antonio Reynoso will be voting no.
4) Justin Brannan said he is voting No. Brannan should have been standing with the Coney Island residents. Instead, Justin Brannan voted to demap Coney Island for the casino.

Catalytic Converter Stolen in Bay Ridge at 6:00 am on Marine Avenue & 97th Street
This morning around 6:00 am, a catalytic converter was stolen on Marine Avenue & 97th Street in Bay Ridge. The owners had a cover on the catalytic converter, but the thieves cut through it.
The thieves drove away in this car:

We’re sorry our neighbors were robbed like this. The police should be able to do a search with a partial license.

Owner found!
These two dogs were found on 10th Ave and 82nd Street. They were crossing the street. Neither dog has a collar.
