February 15, 2026Two Women Punched and One Woman Was Pushed Onto the Tracks in Sunset Park Station

A 51-year-old woman was pushed onto the train tracks at the 53rd Street R train station in Sunset Park a 8:45 am.
Two good people Two other people pulled her back onto the platform.

Benita Frias,, a 43-year-old woman was punched in the face several times, The suspect left the station and punched a 17-year-old teen girl in the face on 4th Avenue and 52nd Street.

Curtis Signal was charged with assault, harassment and reckless endangerment. “The Post reported that Signal is a repeat offender and is on probation until June 2027. Saturday’s incident was not the first assault at a subway station he is alleged to have been involved in.” See prior assaults:

February 14, 2026Malliotakis Brought 9 Million In Federal Funding to the FDNY in Brooklyn and Staten Island

Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis was at FDNY Engine 284 on 79th Street in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn.
Malliotakis announced that she secured nine million dollars for upgrades to the FDNY in her district in Brooklyn and Staten Island. This is fantastic for this firehouse as they will no longer lose power and be cut off from dispatch communications.

Malliotakis has been great with funding projects in our community. Last time, she brought funds to Fort Hamilton Army Base. She’s very good at using the money to help the whole community (instead of not-for-profits taking all the money and no one seeing any changes in the community).

February 14, 2026Updated: Adopted! Maine Coon Kitty For Adoption at Sean Casey

Annie was adopted! She is a three-year-old Maine Coon – the color of her fur makes her so interesting in unique.

Annie lived with 250 other cats in a hoarding situation. She is a sweet and calm cat that enjoys people and affection.
The Maine Coon breed can be prone to certain health conditions, including heart and hip issues, so vet visits annually are needed. Also this type of cat requires consistent brushing to keep the beautiful coat healthy and mat-free.

February 14, 2026Chinese New Year Parade on 8th Avenue in Sunset Park – February 22, 2026

On Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 11:00 am – 2:00 pm is the Chinese New Year Parade in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. It takes place on 52nd Street to 61st Street on 8th Avenue.

This parade has everything – fantastic lion dances and many other performances!
Schedule:
From 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Cultural Performance and Fire Cracker Display on 8th Ave and 52nd Street
From 1:00 – 2:00 pm – Marching parade and lion dance from 52nd Street to 60th Street and 8th Avenue
Lola Star shared that the parade begins at 1:00 pm.

February 13, 202614-Year-Old Robbed at Knifepoint of Scooter – West 12th & Avenue P in Brooklyn

On January 12th, around 4:30 pm, a 14-year-old boy was riding a motorized scooter on 12th Street & Avenue P. It was shared today – almost a month later.

Two males approached the teen. One suspect pulled out a knife, kicked the teen, and demanded the scooter.

One suspect was wearing a green jacket with gray pants and a gray backpack.
While the other wore a black jacket and black pants, and police are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
