October 4, 2021Carnicería Prime Rib (New Butcher Store) is Opening on 3rd Avenue

Carnicería Prime Rib hung an awning at 7214 3rd Avenue, next to Piccante Restaurant.
The word Carniceria means butcher shop.
This is not a good location for a butcher shop because well-known, Anthony’s Butcher is on the next block at 7324 3rd Avenue.
At the other end of the neighborhood there is no caniceria – why didn’t they open further down on the Avenue?
This storefront has been empty for a long time. It used to be the location for LE NAR HOOKAH & GRILL (See here)

October 4, 2021Bishop Kearney Way Street Renaming Bay Parkway and 61st Street on 10/16

On Saturday, October 16th there will be a renaming for Bay Parkway and 61st Street. October 3, 2021Keep Your Children Close in Bay Ridge

Yesterday, a Bay Ridge mother reported that a man tried to take her two-year-old son from in front of their home near 69th Street and Narrows Avenue in the afternoon.
The mother shared that the man returned twice to her home and looked in her window.
The mother wrote that she filed a report with the NYPD.
Police and politicians should have shared that information with the community by now, but they must have forgot.
