October 20, 2021A Gun Was Confiscated Outside FDR High School – Confirmed
The NYPD were outside of FDR High School just before 1:00 pm today. (See here)
The police confiscated a fun from a teen and thankfully no one was hurt today.
This is the third gun found near a school in our neighborhood in the last four weeks. Two weeks ago, a teen was arrested for having a gun outside of Fort Hamilton High School. (See here)

October 20, 2021Jewelry Store Thief Robbed Three Shops in Bay Ridge – He Had the Getaway Car on 87th Street And 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge
Yikes! The NYPD shared a video of a man who is robbing jewelry stores. (Story here)
The robber has a white getaway car parked on 87th Street and 5th Avenue near the Bagel Store.
BUSINESSES ARE NOT GOING TO STAY IN OUR AREA IF THEY KEEP GETTING ROBBED.
Which stores in Bay Ridge were robbed?
1. September 14th – Malson’s Jeweler’s on 86th Street store – three pieces of jewelry taken
2. September 19th – Unique Jewelry Store on 86th Street had a $4,000 gold chain taken
3. September 27th – Lamar Jewelry on 5th Avenue – the thief stole a $600 chain
4. October 17th – a $46,000 Cuban link chain was taken from Malson’s Jewelry (this was Malson’s third robbery since May – $45,000 was taken in May)
Sadly, 87th Street and 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge is a crime zone because this is a low traffic area since Century’s closed.

Sadly, Brannan became a politician like all the other ones. Read how he is ducking park activists.

October 20, 2021Christ Central Church Launches in Bay Ridge 10/24
Christ Central Church is launching a new church in Bay Ridge on Sunday, October 24th from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Gregory Hotel 8315 4th Avenue. During this time, they will have coffee, a time of singing, a short talk from the Bible and food available after.
The church wrote: “We are a church that helps people find their place in God’s big story so that you can enjoy your spiritual journey with friends.
Regardless of your religious background, we would love for you to know you’re welcome here.” (That’s pretty nice.)
They also have child care for children ages 5-11.

Michael Cassisi is a 49-year-old Brooklynite. He needs a kidney.
His wife donated Mike one of her kidney’s but now it is failing. Read his story here
You don’t need be a match for Michael – you just have to be willing to give a kidney and they will match Michael with someone who is a match for him.
Mike is the father of two and he needs a kidney. Please say a prayer for Mike and share his story with someone today. God, please choose a great organ donor for Mike.
