December 8, 2021Something Greek Opened in Dyker Heights

Something Greek is in Bay Ridge and now they opened a restaurant on 13th Avenue between 77th and 78th Street. (7724 13th Avenue)
They are a fantastic place to grab dinner – consistently good food.
They have Yemista on Saturdays – worth getting if you like stuffed peppers/tomatoes. People love their sandwiches and Greek fries.
Lee loves Something Greek’s meatball and rice dish, but he doesn’t want me to write about it because they sell out of the meatballs!

December 8, 2021East River Park Activists Get Construction Halted and Slam Brannan for Not Helping Even Through He Should Have

During the Summer, East River Park activist went to Justin Brannan’s office because he heads the NYC Council committee that was in charge of the park project.
Brannan’s staffer wouldn’t allow the activist into the office, even though they had masks. See video
If you voted for Brannan, you will be surprised that community activists trying to save a park were treated this way.
Brannan told the East River Park activists he would help them get a hearing. Corey Johnson said no Councilmembers put in paperwork to request a hearing.
The art coming out of this is pretty good as Brannan’s tattoos tell the story! (Scroll in on the tats)

December 7, 2021Brannan Doesn’t Have Participatory Budgeting for Bay Ridge

Oh Bay RIdge, you got duped by Councilman Brannan – notice there is no participatory budgeting for Bay Ridge this year.
That would involved the elected doing some work.
Here are the communities with participatory budgeting (see here)

Just an FYI, in the past we saw something on the participatory budget that didn’t win by votes. We copied all of the ideas because we wanted to see how it worked. Magically, Councilman Brannan pushed through the losing idea (another dog park), because it was requested by one of his supporters.
