November 5, 2021Brannan’s Re-election Should Have Been As Easy as Gentile’s
Councilman Brannan’s predecessor, Vincent Gentile won both re-elections by better than 60% in 2009 and 2013. Gentile easily reached across party lines and stood up for his community.
This election should have been an easy win for the incumbent, if he represented the community well.
In Puerto Rico, Councilman Justin Brannan told journalist, Gloria Pazmino that South Brooklynites don’t win by landslides.

Lifestyle Performance Gym is opening at 9060 Fort Hamilton Parkway in Bay Ridge.
On Saturday, November 20th, they are inviting the community to their Grand Opening from 1 – 5 pm.
We saw the gym was open early in the morning and the people looked motivated and happy to be in the new, well-lit beautiful gym. Congratulations to the new owners! Bay Ridge go workout!
Years ago this used to be Papa John’s Pizza. Then someone wanted to make it into a liquor store, but that was shot down because it’s proximity to the school. It was empty for a long time.

A man was shot in the leg on 58th Street and 4th Avenue.
Citizen shows that officers spotted two suspects on a moped heading northbound on 4th Avenue. (See here) Mopeds were made legal so delivery men could easily work in an area, but they have helped a lot of people commit crimes.

The joke is on Bay Ridge.
The people who backed Brannan won’t tell you he is in Puerto Rico.
But we knew he would be there, even when he is trailing in the election.
Why didn’t Brannan share a message on social media that he was taking this trip?

I can’t understand why NYC politicians think it is necessary to travel for their position. There are plenty of people from Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands here in New York that the politicians could speak to.

Remember when Councilman Brannan couldn’t debate his opponent in Brooklyn because Brannan was afraid Covid-19 spreading?
We should have taken the debate to Puerto Rico because apparently Covid-19 doesn’t exist there. In Puerto Rico, groups of people can stand together and not wear masks (hey Tish James and Eric Gonzalez.)

Tish James wanted to tell NY’ers that she was in Puerto because there are people who need aide in Puerto Rico. HELLO POLITICIANS – there are a lot of homeless people living on the streets of NYC, especially from the pandemic! No politicians should be in Puerto Rico talking about problems when there are so many families in NYC suffering. What entitled times we are living in!
Commissioner Shea told NYC that the courts were backed up with cases that needed to be heard. Why is District Attorney, Eric Gonzalez in Puerto Rico when the courts need him here?
