In Saturday Night Fever, John Travolta ate a stacked slice at Lenny’s Pizzeria.
Cug, a man born in Italy and now living in NY, made a Tik-Tok video when he visited Lenny’s and tried the stacked slice.
I don’t know anyone in Brooklyn who eats the slice like that, but lovers of that move like to try it.

December 18, 2021RIP Fadhl Moosa – He Was Just 20 Yrs Old

My Facebook is full of pictures and condolences for Fadhl Moosa. Fadhl was shot and killed at his father’s deli on Tuesday evening. He was only 20 years old.

Thousands of people gathered in Bensonhurst for Fadhl’s funeral. Click video below and see here
Today we put to rest #FadhlMoosa, 20 year old Yemeni bodega worker w/ a funeral service hailing 5,000 ppl. May God rest his soul. May God give the Yemeni community peace and security. It’s amazing the family wanted these elected officials at their son’s funeral when they haven’t done anything to stop this. New mayor Eric Adams promised to make the city safe. (See here)
Fadhl Moosa was shot on Tuesday night while working at his Dad’s business. The Flatbush Deli Corp at 803 Flatbush Avenue around 7:45 pm. See story here
A man came in to rob the place and demanded cash. (Source) Fadhl Moosa and the thief fought. The man fatally shot Fadhl Moosa.
Moosa was working at the deli this year and planned to go to college on campus next year because he didn’t like remote learning. (Source)
The Daily News wrote that the shooter may have been a regular at the deli. (See here)

There is a rise in bodega shootings and stabbings, but no one in charge of NYC is saying ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

I can’t imagine how terrible this is for Fadhl’s family – he was just a kid and didn’t even have a chance to live his life.

People remembered Fadhl as being a happy person. One person who visited the store wrote this:

RIP Fadhl Moosa. Prayers for his family and friends. He’s with God.

December 18, 2021Traffic Cops All Over Bay Ridge – Why Won’t They Ticket the Trailers on Poly Place, 86th Street and 7th Avenue?

From blocks away, I saw this police car with the lights on. I thought something terrible must be happening. As we drive down the block, we see the traffic officer is ticketing a car at a hydrant.
Be careful where you stop or park this weekend, Bay Ridge!
Why aren’t these officers ticketing the trailers and trucks on 86th Street, Poly Place and 7th Avenue? Every commercial vehicle on those blocks should have tickets.

Someone is allowing these trailers to park on our streets – either the 68th Precinct or the politicians in the area.

December 17, 2021Jessica Parks Thinks The News for Bay Ridge is that A Few Staten Island Residents Want a Ferry to Bay Ridge

Why does Jessica Parks think a few Staten Island residents and a few Bay Ridge residents who want ANOTHER ferry are news? It’s an easy story. Does Jessica Parks realize how much of our taxes will subsidize this ferry? The cost of this project is not in Park’s story. Parks also failed to mention if lobbyists are pushing this project.
People from Bay Ridge are not begging for a ferry – they could just take the bus to Staten Island. It’s strange that this is even a story for the paper.
Notice the drawings on their paper – is this group joking?
Strangely, if you do a Google search for the people’s name in this story and Nicole Malliotakis, you find these are the same people who rally against Nicole Malliotakis. (See here, here, here)
The Bay Ridge Environmental Group is also in this story – they bashed Malliotakis more than they cleaned up Bay Ridge. They also continued to praise Councilman Brannan, even after the East River Park was destroyed. I sent the story to the head of the group several times and he didn’t respond.
One of the people is representing TransAlt, an organization which won’t speak out for most things wrong with our streets:
A) Gounardes accepting money from Dealership PACs
B) Justin Brannan speeding around the neighborhood and racking up 16 tickets
C) Brad Lander doing the same.
Senator Andrew Gounardes showed up to stand on the pier with them. Senator Gounardes has never rallied for property taxes in all of the years he has been senator. He has never stood on the Pier, 3rd Avenue or anywhere in this neighborhood or Marine Park for the residents in Brooklyn who are being charged twice the tax of his friend Brad Lander in Park Slope.
We have seen Gounardes push for other things that have lobbyists behind it, especially the red light cameras (Brannan was lobbied for the cameras).
