Cheers to the Fourteen People in District 11 Who Sued Kathy Hochul Over the Gerrymandered Congressional District

The new district lines are ridiculous and 14 people in the 11th Congressional District have sued the governor. (Story here)

After our district being gerrymandered by the Republicans, we thought the Democrats – Andrew Gounardes and Mathylde Frontus would have spoken up for Brooklyn, but they wanted to create districts that would bring an easy win. They didn’t think it out well because people are already coming forward to run against them because they made their seat an easier one to win!

Everyone thought Kathy Hochul was going to be a good governor, but allowing this shows she doesn’t understand how to be decent and be the governor as well.

Register Your Cell Phone with the NYPD on 2/10

Operation Identification is offered free of charge by the New York City Police Department and involves registering the serial number of valuable portable electronics along with the owners name and contact information.

Items can also be engraved with a uniquely identifiable serial number prefaced with the letters N.Y.C.

Marked property is more difficult for a thief to sell. I have no idea how this will make your phone look (they didn’t how a sample)

Should you be a victim of theft, registering your property with the NYPD could help bring about its return

Super Gerrymandered Brooklyn – Asian Senate District Formed

There is a new Asian Senate seat coming to Brooklyn. Yes, that is what it is being called in 2022.

You can find out if you are in the new district by trying your address here.

The Democrats super gerrymandered Brooklyn so that Andrew Gounardes would have more Democrats in his district. Prior to being in office Andrew Gounardes cried on social media about the Republicans gerrymandering Brooklyn. Now GOUNARDES IS SILENT because this helps him.

No one is talking about this new district made based to divide people.

Elijah Was Killed at NYC Animal Care & Control – Even Though Two Rescues Wanted to Save Him

The bulldog in the photo above was named Elijah.

Elijah was at the Brooklyn Animal Care and Control (#134918), but wasn’t adopted.

Two animal rescues wanted to save Elijah. NYCACC terminated the two-year-old dog’s life on February 4th.

*A DONOR OFFERED $1000 TO THE RESCUE THAT PULLED ELIJAH TO SAFETY. (More info on Elijah can be seen here)

While every animal can’t be saved, I don’t understand why New York Animal Care and Control wouldn’t want to partner with all of these rescues.

This is not the first time this has happened.

A 34-year contract was made between NYC and Animal Care and Control. Justin Brannan was the head of the NYC Council Contracts Committee. He told activists he would look into it, but he didn’t write any articles or do anything about the strange contract. (More info here)

I’ve asked both Assembly members Mathylde Frontus and Mike Tannousis to consider co-sponsoring A.7155 (Seen here), but neither have.

This bill enacts the Shelter Animal Rescue Act, which requires the release of a shelter animal to a rescue group upon request of the rescue group prior to the euthanasia of such animal.

It would stop what happened to Elijah and give dogs and cats a chance to be adopted..

If you live in NYC, you can find your Assembly member here.

Polar Bears Swam in Coney Island Today

Photo from Dutch Mazz’s video below

Dutch Mazz shared this beautiful live stream of the Coney Island Polar Bears swimming today in Brooklyn.

I didn’t realize that the members of the Polar Bears met several times a year to swim, I thought it was just on New Years Day.

Coney Island looks a lot cleaner than it looks during the Summer.

A little after 5:00 pm today, there was a two-car collision on the Belt Parkway. (See here)

One car was smashed, smoking and turned the opposite way in traffic.

The important thing is that no one was hurt.
