Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis received a lot of cheers at the parade (so did former Senator Marty Golden).
The Democrats were jeered, but the band drowned out the heckles.

Youtuber, DutchMazz shared this fantastic video of the parade from the setup on Marine Avenue where all the people and beautiful cars lined up to the end of the parade.

Dog Owners – Avoid Park On 86th St. & 14th Ave.
A great Brooklynite shared the photo above to give a heads up to dog owners, who walk their dogs in this park on 86th Street and 14th Avenue.
Her dog found a dismembered rat.
She wanted other dog owners to be aware that rats can carry lepto In January, some dogs in Williamsburg died from being exposed to lepto at the park. (Story here)
The best part of her story —-> this person picked up the rat and put it in a bag to throw out. (I love you Brooklyn…..but I wouldn’t be able to do that. I would have taken a picture and asked Lee to take care of it.)

The Train Rally Senator Andrew Gounardes Doesn’t Want Bay Ridge to Know About
Senator Andrew Gounardes holds events that are not inclusive in our community. Meaning: These events are not advertised and only certain people are privy to the information about the event.
Senator Gounardes is having a rally on Sunday. March 27th with Riders Alliance. You won’t see this rally advertised on any of Gounardes’ social media, even though he is the main politician for the event.
The Riders Alliance is a group of people who only appear in our district during election season. They were SILENT about the homeless living on the R train for years. Not one person in Riders Alliance rallied for the homeless on the R Train to be given a home or the mental care that they need.
No one from Riders Alliance has spoken out about the terrible condition of the train for years in Bay Ridge. There is nothing on Riders Alliance or the other group about this rally either.
We should have seen this group and Gounardes rallying several weeks ago before the R train made schedule changes for repairs this weekend and into the Spring. #LateAgain
Shorefront News told us about the event happening in our community. (See here) Not one other local paper has this information and it isn’t posted anywhere else.
