Retired NYPD Officer Fired Gun in Underground Garage on 101st Street in Bay Ridge

Around 5:30 am, a 57-year-old police office got into a verbal match with a 54-year-old man in a garage under a building on 101st Street and 4th Avenue in Bay Ridge. (Story here)

From video with story – link above.

Channel 7 wrote that man lunged at the officer and punched him in the head. (Something is missing from this story – why did the man lunge at that former NYPD officer….what happened??)

Councilman Brannan wrote that the man pulled a knife on the former NYPD officer. None of the articles included that.

Where did the Councilman get that information? A weapon changes the story.

Brannan wrote that the police think the dispute was over a parking spot.

This article said that the police are investigating if the men knew each other before this incident.

We are lucky that the police officer’s aim wasn’t good – he fired the gun and it hit a car in the parking lot. Councilman Brannan wrote above that he shot himself in the hand.

Adam from Loudlabs said the officer was hit with a bullet in his pinky……Something is being left out – there had to be a struggle or something because someone wouldn’t shoot themself in the hand.

The police officer was taken to the hospital. The other man was taken into custody by the NYPD.

Tonight, Adam from Loudlabs shared this video

Sports Teams Can Play – Even If They Ae Not Vaccinated. Malliotakis Stands Up For NYPD, FDNY and NYC Teachers Who Were Fired for Not Being Vaccinated

Mayor Eric Adams said that members of sports teams who aren’t vaccinated are now allowed to play.

Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis stood up for the NYPD, FDNY and NYC teachers who lost their jobs for not being vaccinated. She callled for them to be hired back.

Malliotakis is right. All NYC Employees should be hired back. Why? If they always did their jobs and were afraid to get vaccinated, they shouldn’t lose their jobs over this permanently.

Councilman Brannan & Senator Gounardes Failed to Take Action for the Homeless in Bay Ridge

The Post has revealed that NYC homeless were not housed even though 2,500 apartments sit vacant. (See here)

NYC Council has known about this since December, so why didn’t Councilman Brannan take action? From the article:

Councilman Brannan is quoted in The Post: “If this was something that was ignored by the previous administration, then we need to attack it and we need to fix it.” (See here)

Councilman Brannan is the last person The Post should talk to about housing the homeless.

Brannan put $0 towards housing. Oswald Feliz, a NYC Councilman in the Bronx, took office on April 15, 2021. In June, Oswald funded NYCHA developments in his area with 4.5 million dollars. (See here)

Let’s be clear…. Councilman Brannan and Andrew Gounardes have ignored the homeless on the train for years.

You can’t be politicians campaigning in the 95th Street station and allow people who are in desperate of help to pull into the station every day and not receive help.

Breaking Grounds is not meeting them at 95th Street and bringing them to get help. And yes, they want help. Maybe they can’t say it or are too afraid, but no one wants to live like that.

When REBNY is involved, politicians are interested in housing the homeless. (See here)

Lonestar

During the pandemic, Lonestar was bringing food to first responders.

They weren’t having an easy time then and they aren’t now. A lot of businesses received money to help them recover from the pandemic.

Say some prayers that things get straightened out for these owners.

Community Board 10 spoke about the issues.
