Congresswoman Malliotakis Speaks Out Against Socialism
Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis voiced strong opposition to socialism, stating that she believes it to be a precursor to communism. Watch the video:
She noted that many immigrants came to the United States seeking to escape socialist policies in their home countries, citing Venezuela’s collapse as an example.
Malliotakis also argued that Mayor-elect Mandami’s policy proposals resemble the ideas of Karl Marx.

Shore Parkway is a Wreck – Design Phase Delayed Until June 2026
When your local leaders are too concerned with lobbyist projects, and didn’t do much about Shore Parkway. Now the design phase is delayed until June 2026.
It’s gotten so bad that CBS did a story on the dilapidated bike path.

Small sections should have been paved to upkeep the bike path to Cesear’s Bay.

Auto Theft Prevention in Dyker Heights 11/22
Hey Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights registered vehicle owners, on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Dyker Heights Golf Club Parking Lot at 1030 86 Street.
The NYPD Crime Prevention Division will be providing free steering wheel locks for Honda CRV and Toyota Highlander vehicles.
NYPD Auto Crime will be offering free catalytic converter etching to all NYS registered vehicles.

Nydia Velazquez is the first Puerto Rican woman in Congress. She represents District 7 in Brooklyn (see below), which is quite different since redistricting.
She is 72 years old and today she said she will not be running for re-election.

Citibikes Stopped the Christmas Tree Lighting on 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge
At the Community Board 10 Meeting on November 17th, it was announced that the Bay Ridge BID on 5th Avenue would not have a tree lighting this year because Citibikes were put on 5th Avenue and 75th Street and there is no sidewalk space for a tree.
I’m surprised no other businesses volunteered to host a tree for 5th Avenue. Tree lightings bring more customers! People love taking pictures in front of Christmas trees.
